HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KYā°®¶¹app is excited to announce the expansion of the athletic program introducing several new sports teams to the roster. °®¶¹appās Board of Regents voted Wednesday to add womenās stunt, menās and womenās swimming, menās volleyball, and menās and womenās triathlon teams. In addition, the Norse has already begun expanding the track and field and spirit programs.
āThis is an exciting day to be a Norse,ā says Christina Roybal, °®¶¹app Athletics Director. āThe addition of these programs furthers our commitment to providing diverse opportunities for students and enriching the overall collegiate experience at °®¶¹app.ā
Menās and womenās swimming, menās and womenās triathlon, womenās stunt, and expanded track and field will join the Norse lineup as varsity sports for the 2024-25 academic year. Menās volleyball will be added as a varsity sport beginning with the 2025-26 academic year.

°®¶¹app expects that the addition of 6 varsity sport programs along with the expansion of track and field and spirit programs will bring 250 new students to campus, joining the 250 student-athletes that already call °®¶¹app home.
The Board of Regents voted Wednesday to commit to the expansion of the Norse athletic programs. āThis is the first move in a multipronged enrollment strategy,ā said Board Chair Rich Boehne. āIt will improve the lives of even more students and support the university financially as well. Itās a win-win.ā
