°®¶¹app offers many different scholarships and opportunities for financial assistance for incoming and returning students. Below is a selection of scholarships specifically for Geology majors an other STEM disciplines.

Scholarships For Geology Majors

Jonathan Bushee Endowed Scholarship

Amount: Varies each year

Eligibility: Incoming and continuing degree-seeking students who have declared a major in Geology, and display financial need as determined by their FAFSA.

  • Incoming students must have a minimum 23 ACT score.
  • Continuing students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester.

Duration: One (1) academic year. Previous recipients of this scholarship may apply.

This endowment was established in honor of Jonathan Bushee, a former associate professor of geology at °®¶¹app.


Michael C. Sanzere Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Amount: Varies each year

Eligibility: °®¶¹app students who have declared a major in Geology and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.  

Duration: One (1) academic year (excluding summer sessions). Previous recipients of this scholarship may apply.


 

Scholarships For All STEM Majors

CINSAM Scholarship

Amount: $3000 towards tuition, books, and/or housing based on need

For: Incoming first-year students declaring a major in a STEM discipline.

Duration: One (1) academic year - Renewable

Amount: Full in-state tuition and books

Heather Bullen Memorial Scholarship

Amount: Varies each year

For: Current °®¶¹app students majoring in a STEM field, who have earned 90 or more credit hours (equivalent to senior standing).

This scholarships rewards first-generation STEM students for their leadership and academic efforts at °®¶¹app. Nominations are submitted by faculty each spring, and awardees are honored each August at the Heather Bullen Summer Celebration of Research.

Duration: One (1) academic year (excluding summer sessions).
